OUR STORY

Mana Films is an Indigenous-led film company founded by filmmaker Renae Maihi, created to develop ambitious original cinema.

The company champions Indigenous authorship and creative leadership in the global film landscape, developing culturally grounded stories with the ambition to reach audiences worldwide.

Mana Films is focused on culturally specific cinema with universal resonance, while building meaningful creative partnerships across the international film industry to bring these visions to life.

OUR SLATE

Mana Films is currently developing two original feature films, THE TOHUNGA and THE WHITE FEATHER PROPHECIES, alongside an international team of collaborators.

Executive Producer on both projects is Tim Coddington (Executive Producer, Disney's Mulan, Crazy Rich Asians), with script consultancy from Hollywood development executive Garrick Dion (Producer, Whiplash, Drive, Nightcrawler), story development specialist Karel Segers (The Story Development Lab), and screenwriting educator and author Jill Chamberlain (The Nutshell Technique).

The projects are grounded in cultural truth, spiritual depth, and cinematic ambition, spanning supernatural, historical and adventure genres, with a shared vision to connect with audiences worldwide.
